As Head of Project Management / Senior Project Manager, you will play a central role in Arcmedia’s Delivery organisation. You will lead and further develop our Project Management practice while simultaneously taking responsibility for complex and strategically important client projects.
In doing so, you will work closely with our clients as well as with Strategy, Sales, UX, Architecture and Engineering. Your goal: to successfully deliver projects in a transparent, commercially sound and high-quality manner.

As Head of Project Management / Senior Project Manager, you will play a central role in Arcmedia’s Delivery organisation. You will lead and further develop our Project Management practice while simultaneously taking responsibility for complex and strategically important client projects.
In doing so, you will work closely with our clients as well as with Strategy, Sales, UX, Architecture and Engineering. Your goal: to successfully deliver projects in a transparent, commercially sound and high-quality manner.
Your responsibilities
• You will provide professional leadership and further development of our Project Management team.
• You will define and improve our standards, methods, processes and templates for project planning, management, reporting and project completion.
• You will coach our Project Managers and support them in challenging project situations.
• At the same time, you will independently lead complex digital, E-Commerce and platform projects for our clients.
• You will be responsible for the scope, budget, forecast, deadlines, risks, dependencies and change management of your projects.
• You will ensure clear and transparent communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• You will identify risks at an early stage, initiate appropriate measures and, when necessary, take the lead in re-planning and project recovery.
• Together with the project teams, you will ensure structured collaboration between Product Owners, UX, Solution Architecture, Technical Leads and Engineering.
• You will work with Operations on resource planning, capacities and portfolio transparency.
• You will support Sales and Presales in assessing project approaches, effort, risks and realistic delivery commitments.
• You will further develop existing client relationships and support clients in long-term collaboration even after Go-Live.

What you bring
• Several years of experience managing demanding digital projects, ideally in an agency, software, digital commerce or consulting environment.
• Experience with complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, disciplines and technical dependencies.
• Very good understanding of professional project management — from planning and governance through to budget, forecasting, risk and change management.
• Strong commercial thinking and a good understanding of project profitability.
• Experience with agile and traditional project methods, and the ability to pragmatically adapt the approach to the project and client.
• Experience in professional leadership, coaching or developing Project Managers.
• Confidence when dealing with clients — including in challenging situations, escalations or when expectations need to be realigned.
• Sufficient technical understanding to work on an equal footing with Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers. You do not need to be able to develop software yourself.
• A structured, dependable and solution-oriented way of working.
• You take responsibility, make decisions and address problems early and transparently.
• Very good German and English skills.
• Experience with complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, disciplines and technical dependencies.
