Swiss company Stromer combines technology with Swiss engineering artistry. The new website needed to showcase the high quality of Stromer’s products and include a bike configurator which would show customers putting together their dream bike the many options available to them.

Powerful images visualise Stromer’s products in the digital world. Users experience the quality of company’s products the moment they enter the myStromer website, while the carefully designed user experience helps them find the information they need. Thanks to the bike configurator, potential customers can configure their bike and book a test ride without having to visit a dealer.

Technology
The new website was developed using the enterprise CMS Drupal. It is currently running in version 9. The bike configurator was developed on the basis of a web application containing elements of a progressive web application (PWA). That application is seamlessly integrated into Drupal 9. Mautic was incorporated into the system landscape to take care of marketing automation.
The heart of the website is the lightning-fast configurator, which is aligned with Stromer's sales strategy.

Challenge
The centrepiece of the new website is a flexible, scalable bike configurator. Maintenance costs for the new configurator had to be limited. Even so, the configurator performs superbly and explains the wealth of available options clearly. The website also needed to function more effectively in an international environment and appeal to the various target audience groups.
