What are wireframes?
A wireframe is a model showing in schematic form how the user interface of your website or online shop is structured and organised. We create an outline showing how the content is presented to the user, focussing on functions and navigation and disregarding colours or design elements. This means that your user interface can be tested against the requirements of your users at an early stage. Only after the wireframe is complete do we start the actual design work, where we simulate the system and the interactions in a graphical prototype. Wireframes enable us to gather early feedback about user experience. Wireframes also allow design decisions to be taken more quickly and user feedback to be incorporated into the design process sooner.

When are wireframes useful?
Wireframes are useful for giving a clear idea of the functions of a website or application. Wireframes help you plan and organise your content and navigation structure before you delve into the details of design and development. Wireframes are also an initial basis for user feedback.
